Hi / Cześć

Whereas stretching my and other brains in new directions keeps me beaming towards learning & sharing knowledge.

If you are super curious what I did during my BFA & MFA years, please click HERE. The click will take you to a separate blog, which shows that nobody jumps out of their mother’s womb as perfect and complete. Well… at least, it skipped me for some reason.

Another thing ⇁ I am a late-bloomer. I started fine art education when I was thirty. It took me 18 years to go through BFA, MFA and end with a PhD in Fine Arts. To make my case even worse, before hitting 30, I managed to score a BA in English Teaching. Next, I completed an MA course in Applied Linguistics, but never submitted my dissertation on Sumerian Myths absorbed by The Old Testament. At the time, fleeing to Britain to earn an MEd, seemed like a better idea. And I was right.

Studying in Britain set me up in terms of knowledge and development for the future. It laid groundwork for interests I am developing today in the context of art. And it allowed me to freely navigate knowledge related to brain-friendly learning and teaching.

While there, I enrolled for a part-time course in Video Production at Plymouth College of Art & Design. As a result of which, I made my first ever video ⇁ a tribute to Afternoon Meshes by Maya Deren and decided to start art education in Poland.

About me in short:

BLOG

I write about artists-teachers and their amazing hacks. I wonder how to evolve the way we teach art-making and practice art so it is brain-friendly;

I look into neurobiology to find gems for day-to-day art practice;

There are also topics of wellbeing and mindfulness in artistic practice.

Piszę również o artystach-nauczycielach i ich niesamowitych metodach pracy ze studentami. Zastanawiam się, jak zmienić sposób, w jaki kształcimy artystów i sami praktykujemy sztukę.

Zaglądam do neurobiologii, by wyszukiwać perełki do codziennej praktyki artystycznej;

Poruszam również tematy związane z dbaniem o dobre samopoczucie i uważność w praktyce artystycznej.
